Silently, the coolness rises, bidding farewell to summer and welcoming the new autumn. In this increasingly autumn September, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of our school and enhance our deep friendship with the University of North Iowa in the United States, and to cultivate applied composite talents at the School of Business, the Business School of Shanghai Dianji University held the 2023 China US Leadership Forum English Speech Competition as scheduled on the afternoon of September 25th.
This competition was jointly organized by the Business School of Shanghai Dianji University and the University of North Iowa in the United States. Professor Wang Shuo, Director and Associate Professor of the Sino foreign Cooperation Program Office at the School of Business, Professor Wang Yang, Secretary and Associate Professor of the Sino foreign Cooperation Program Office at the School of Business, and Professor Li Chang, Counselor at the School of Business, were invited as judges to participate in this competition.
As a hot and international event, this competition actively involves business school students in the form of a keynote speech. They passionately expressed their sincere wishes for the 70th anniversary of their alma mater and their understanding of the global trend of digital commerce, showcasing the demeanor of students from the Electric Business School in the new era.
At the beginning of the speech competition, the host introduced the scoring mechanism and rules of the speech competition, and introduced the judges and teachers who participated in the competition.
The theme of this English speech is The 70th Anniversary of the Establishment of Shanghai Dianji University and Digital Commerce and Globalization. Students present the close relationship between digital commerce and globalization from different perspectives, and take the development of e-commerce in China as an example to deepen their understanding of the relationship between digital commerce and globalization from a practical perspective.
The seventeen contestants in this competition are from the China US International Trade major at the Business School. After intense competition, they ultimately won the first to third prizes, as well as the Best Expression Award and the Best Theme Award. Finally, Professor Wang Shuo, Director and Associate Professor of the Sino foreign Cooperation Office of the Business School, will announce the award results.

Teacher Wang Shuo mentioned that through this competition, he can see that everyone's overall English expression level has truly achieved practical application, demonstrating the charm of English speaking. He also affirmed that freshmen can muster the courage to participate in the competition after entering the campus.
At the end of the activity, Teacher Wang Shuo, on behalf of the other teachers, gave high hopes to the outstanding performance and growth of the students from the business school of SDJU in their subsequent offline classes and activities.
