2022 Symposium for students majoring in China-US Cooperation (2 + 2) International Economy & Trade was successfully held

From May 12 to May 13, 2022, the China-US Cooperation (2 + 2) International Economic&Trade students' Symposium co sponsored by the international exchange office of Shanghai Institute of electrical engineering and the business school was successfully held. Mr. Sun Lijiang, director of the International Exchange Department of our university, and Mr. Shen Jin, vice president of the business school, attended and presided over the meeting. The relevant teachers of the international exchange department, all teachers of the international project cooperation office of the business school and the team of cooperative project counselors also attended the meeting. This Student Symposium is for the representatives of students majoring in international economy and trade of China US cooperation (2 + 2). It aims to deeply investigate the ideas and experiences of students from filling in volunteers in the college entrance examination to participating in international cooperation projects and their willingness to study abroad in recent years.

The symposium was held in two days. On May 12, it was promoted in the form of online conference. A total of 20 students from freshmen and sophomores of China US cooperation shared their ideas and experiences; On May 13, it was promoted in the form of offline meeting combined with online meeting. Six junior students' representatives had a face-to-face discussion with director Sun Lijiang, vice president Shen Jin and several teachers from the counselor team of the business school.

Through this symposium, the international exchange office, the International Cooperation Office of the business school and the counselor team have a deeper understanding of the students of the cooperation project in recent years from application to enrollment, as well as the students' experience of the China US cooperation (2 + 2) project and their willingness to participate in the international project in recent three years. The students also further defined the learning objectives of the next stage from the care of the teachers. The symposium successfully completed the expected tasks, provided a reference for the long-term development of the international economy and trade specialty of China US cooperation (2 + 2) in the future, and laid a foundation for further optimizing the high-quality international teaching resources of our university.
